IN-LA Trains Teams in Three Countries!

IN-LA trained teams from the National Academy of Engineering, Royal Academy of Engineering and Chinese Academy of Engineering participating in the first-ever global student business competition addressing the Grand Challenges of Engineering. USC team Stasis Labs received second place.

Stasis Labs aims to change medical technologies by providing health-monitoring solutions to patients and doctors traditionally barred by high-cost medical infrastructure or poverty in the developing world. With Stasis Labs’ fast and compact vitals monitor, a doctor can literally track a patient’s vitals from thousands of miles away in real time.

Congratulations to Fluency Lighting Technologies for their $50,000 NSF I-Corps Team Grant! IN-LA sponsored the team after their great work in the FLoW competition at Caltech.

Fluency Lighting Technologies, Inc. is creating next generation energy efficient lighting technologies for high-power, high-brightness industrial light sources, as well as new design strategies. Through materials design, the company focus on improving energy efficiency, using environmentally safe materials, creating high color quality light resembling natural sunlight with color tuneability based on application, and lowering maintenance and replacement costs while creating a safer work environment reducing worksite accidents.
